ANNUAL YOUTH FOR JUSTICE SUMMIT The Twelfth
Annual Youth for Justice Summit will be held at the Vermont Law
School in South Royalton on The theme for this year’s conference is, “Negotiations and the Democratic Process: How to Resolve our Environmental Dilemmas”. Registration forms are due by Friday, March 30, 2008. Please note that we will be able to accept only 100 students for this summit. Schools are limited to sending only 10 students. If spaces still exists at the end of March, additional students may be able to attend. Also, please note that while the students are attending their workshops, concurrent workshops will be held for teachers on “Engaging Students in the Political Process: How to Discuss Opposing Viewpoints “. Teachers who would like to attend the conference, but are not able to bring any students, are invited to attend these teacher workshops. Registration forms will also be available on the VPA web site (www.vpaonline.org). Also please note that breakfast and lunch will be provided by the Vermont Law School. The fee for the summit is $1 per student and advisor. This summit is open to students in grades 6 through 8. We are only able to accept 100 students for the conference, so register early.
