Members Present:  Judi Estes, Donna Perrin, Sean Farrell, Doris O’Brien, Bob Johnson

Minutes:

1. motion by Sean, second by Doris, to accept minutes of 9/25/07. Vote – approved unanimously.

2. discussion on 2007 – 2008 season. Overall, all went well. Concern about judging at Colchester competition. Discussion on Springfield issue at state championship.
   No action taken.

3. discussion on proposed dates for next year. Mt. Anthony would like to host a competition. Judi will discuss with AD about potential date. Discussion on holding the championship at a neutral site. Rice HS may have an interest in this. Barb (and Tom) will talk with Rice about this possibility. Draft schedule:

   Note – no dates listed for Arlington or Colchester.

4. Sean has agreed to be assignor of judges. We need to begin a formal evaluation System of judges for this year.  Also agreed to review and revise score sheets at the Fall meeting.. A copy of the new sheet will be attached to the guide.

5. Doris indicated that she and Barb Miceli have talked about forming a Dance Coaches Association. This association would become responsible for training new coaches and providing training for judges. Further information will be provided this Fall.

6. discussion on possible new teams. Milton HS students have contacted Bob J. He will refer them to Doris for additional help. Peoples Academy started a club team last year. Bob J. will check to see what their status will be for this year.

7. discussion on call back issue and seeding of teams at the championships. Could we be losing teams because of these issues. Will get feedback from coaches on both issues for the Fall meeting. Guide to be revised in Fall meeting.
