Activities
Standards Committee Minutes
December 3, 2002 Present:
Chairman, Bob Johnson, Merlyn Courser, Frank Pecora, Jack
Pennypacker, Bob Levis, Peter Coffey, Bruce Gee, Glenn Olson,
Steve Houghton, Armando Vilaseca, Student Reps from Danville
High School: Helon Hoffer, Brittney Larabee, and
Amanda Melindy. From Staff: W. Scott Blanchard, Harry Weiser,
BP10, Scribe.
Visitors: Kathy Bierwirth and several students, Mike O’Day
and a student. All were attendees at the NFHS Student Leadership
Conference in July.
1) Minutes
of 8/13 & 14 were approved.
2) Ad Hoc Sports Seasons Committees recommendations for 2003-04
and 2004-05 were approved.
3) Divisional Alignments for 2003-04 and 2004-05 were approved
subject to petitions of which will be acted upon in January.
4) Mouthguards are to meet minimum NFHS Standards.
5) Approved the Revised Student Exchange Form as presented
by Blanchard.
6) Referred letter from O’Day requesting that Golf be made
a Fall Sport, to the Golf Committee.
7) Approved a Waiver of Liability Policy for mouthguards as
presented by Blanchard.
8) Approved Cheerleading 2002-03 Divisional Alignment Petition
by:
a) Poultney from Div. 3 to Div. 2.
b) Mt. Mansfield from Div. 1 to Div. 2.
9) Approved the Revised Policy Re: Girls Eligibility Status
when they are a member of the boys ice hockey team and a girls
team is formed.
