MINUTES
OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL MEETING, MAY 3, 2005
Members
Present: Peter Evans, Frank Spencer, Dick Kraemer, Joe Bowen,
Madeline Young, Laurie Singer, Richard Taylor, Steve Houghton,
Rob Bliss, Bob Stevens, Lynn Coale, Jay Nichols, and Executive
Director Ray Pellegrini. Guest: Tracy Gallo
- Received
reports from Peter Evans, President; David Cobb, NAESP;
Bob Stevens, NASSP; Steve Houghton, NFHS; Dick Taylor, NAESP
Federal Relations.
- Motion
made and seconded to accept the March 31 Council minutes.
Motion approved.
- Motion
made and seconded to approved the 2005-2006 VPA Budget.
Motion approved.
- Tracy
Gallo from DOE was present and explained the work of the
Division of Lifelong Learning.
- Motion
made and seconded to appoint June Sargent, Mt. Abraham Union
High School to complete Jay Nichols term (3 years).
Ray Pellegrini will do an “all call” for members interested
in replacing Bob Stevens on the Executive Council. A conference
call will be held on Wednesday, May 25th at 9 AM to make
the appointment. At the summer retreat, it will then be
decided who will assume the role of NASSP Representative.
- Motion
made and seconded to accept the Executive Council meeting
dates for 2005-2006. Motion approved.
- The
Executive Council went into Executive Session to discuss
evaluation of the Executive Director and Director of Student
Activities.
Following
Executive Session, it was determined that an evaluation form
will be developed for guidelines to be used in evaluating
the Executive Director.
