The
VPA offers leadership development and networking opportunities through
workshops and conferences. The
conferences focus on current issues that affect students, teachers,
parents and administrators.
The
VPA encourages new leaders with Aspiring
Principal Workshops and New
Faces in New Places. New in 2007 is a Mentoring
Program connecting Veteran Principals with new or nearly
new administrators. Veteran Principals receive training through
Peer Assisted Leadership Service (PALS), a National Principal Mentoring
Certification Program through NAESP.
Green
Mountain Principals is a bi-weekly e-mail newsletter
that is sent to all VPA members. This newsletter contains upcoming
workshops/conferences from the VPA and other educational institutes,
legislative updates, and relevant leadership articles.
