The Together Leader I: a unique professional development opportunity to help develop the habits, tools and skills to get organized, stay on track and keep it all together. Effective functioning requires strong planning, time and task management acumen, and reliable organization. Things get even more challenging with fuzzy boundaries around technology and communication and more choice about how your staff and faculty use their time. Without a clear system to sort through the daily deluge, most people easily lose sight, not only of what they need to accomplish in their work, but also the passion that brought them there in the first place. The cost of not having a plan for how one spends their time is enormous: stakeholders suffer and leaders lose sleep—an overwhelming and dreadful combination that doesn't help anyone. Thankfully, with some intentionality, simple routines and good habits, it is possible to be an effective leader—AND have a life!
The Together Leader workshop wil emphasize planning ahead, prioritizing clearly, increasing efficiency and improving follow-through. The workshop is engaging, fast-paced and applicable to the context of your school or organization. Leaders also have the opportunity to collaborate during dedicated work times. Together, we will examine and critique actual samples of others' organization systems, hold frequent (and fun!) checks for understanding, and save plenty of time for applying skills.
